9 simple
self-defense 
techniques

In this 4 week course you will learn 9 simple self defense techniques that will keep you safe.  You will train one day per week for 4 weeks.  The first, second and third week you will learn 2 techniques per class and the fourth week you will learn 3 techniques.  These are effective regardless of your martial arts experience.  The total cost is $80!  These are private or small group sessions and you get to choose the days/times you train Monday through Friday from 10 am to 7 pm.  Choose the days/times that work for you!  

THE INSTRUCTOR

Meet Head Instructor Maneesh Sharma

Maneesh “Manny” Sharma is a blackbelt in Taekwondo, and has also trained in Krav Maga, Muay Thai, and grappling.  He has also trained in a variety of weapon defenses including gun, stick, knife, bat, pipe, and bottle defenses.  Additionally, Manny has trained in traditional martial art weapons including sai, flagstaff, and nunchucks.  His favorite weapon is nunchucks. 

 

Manny has been training in martial arts for over 20 years!  He started his training in Shotokan Karate but transitioned to Taekwondo as a teen.  While consistently training, he also achieved his college and graduate degrees from USC and Loyola Law School, and during the day practices law. 

 

Manny believes that only one martial art is not sufficient in becoming a well-rounded practitioner.  So, at SDS you will learn a variety of techniques from different martial arts that will allow you to protect yourself in different situations.  We are designed to teach you techniques that you can use to protect yourself and your family on the street.  We provide techniques that you can use regardless of your size or the size of your opponent(s).    

 

The focus of SDS is on your technique.  Although you will get a workout, the workout will stem from the techniques that you will practice over and over.  It is by continuous practice that you will be able form muscle memory and become efficient.  Within a few months, you will be able to gain confidence in your abilities.  We are not a martial arts school, but rather a self-defense system!  We hope that you will join us!
